03. TESTIMONIAL - PEOPLE WE SERVE
01. Ricardo Sanchez - deported in 2014 from California and found dead on the street in downtown Tijuana Baja - November 21, 2017
Ricardo was one of the people we were discipling from the very first day he was deported from California. He was working as chef in an Italian restaurant for more than a decade. Married and has several kids and had other close family members in the same town.
He seemed to be adjusting well to his new life in Tijuana but the alcohol got the better of him. He stayed at La Roca men's shelter and rehabilitation center run by the same ministries off and on. However stress as homeless and not being able to find a steady job was just too much for him as it is for anyone else in the same situation. After 3 and half year of life as deported he passed away.
Well that's pretty much most know about Ricardo even to his family due to poor communication.
But as you can see in the photos below, he was part of Bethesda Church on the Street congregation. We witnessed his decision to accept Jesus as his unique Savior and saw him redecating his life to Jesus several times. In October 2014, we accompanied him and several friends of his to a 4 days/3 night retreat to near San Quintin, Baja California where he took a super mini discipleship class by Pastor Joon Lee of 5B2F Ministries and helped with construction projects of the ministries.
There were happier time as well , playing soccer in the YWAM - San Antonio mission base , strolling Popotla and La Mission beach on the Pacific , bonfire and nice meal of steak in the trailer home, laughter and Bible study. We even tried to help him open a small take-out Italian food or mobile tacos place in Zona Norte which regrettablt didn't go far due to lack of proper funding for the project.
Our hope is that his sprit is in th eloving arms of our Lord Jesus at this moment and at the sound of trumpet he receives a perfect body to be reunited as one. And live his eternity in the companion of our Lord and many of us. We all love him.
What was his life on this earth like to the eyes of our Lord ? It's a big mistery but something sooooo nice I think but at the same time beyond our human knowledge and comprehension.
We all miss you Ricardo !

03. Ricardo Banuelos Correa originally from Fresnillo Zacatecas
Before he was saved and lived in the carnal world, he was battling with drug addiction and alcoholism. He was involved in gang activities and belonged to Satanic sect. He just didn’t care about his life itself.
Soon the careless lifestyle started to take a toll. He was constantly being chased by people looking for him to “settle the account”. Fearing for his life he fled to the US.
He eventually moved to Carson California with family and lived there for 6 years before he was deported April this year. All the while he maintained regular job.
During this period time he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour by the grace of God. But a chain of event he was deported to Mexico in April this year.
Once found home at La Roca, his inner person went through a drastic change. At La Roca, not only his physical needs are taken care of but received spiritual alimentation through daily preaching of word and attending men’s breakfast prayer meetings. He did a 4-days volunteer service for a ministry in Ensenada. He did his spiritual gifts test during this “short-term mission trip” and confirmed his inner desire of wanting to preach the His message to other people.
Now he safeguard his newly found life and that of his family valuable. He wants to live a humble and starts paying attention to respecting other people.
He wants to become a evangelist eventually as layman carrying the Good message to the people and serve God in that way.
Well we didn’t mention his activities in drug cartel but compared to his former life to transformed one lately, only thing we are left to say is it must be the work of The Lord on his young man.
